5/2 10:37 Two weeks ago right now Meg was receiving her new heart, her new life. At the same time a family whom we know very little about was mourning the loss of a family member. We are grateful for their gift of life and we pray that they, too, feel God's presence and help during this time of 'healing'. Give LIFE, be a DONOR.

  1. I am so glad to hear that Meg is doing well. I have been following her story ever since I saw it on KSDK. I am a mother who donated her 16 month old son's heart, liver, and kidneys in 2002. All 3 recipients are doing great! We have heard from the liver recipient and have even visited her once. I am so thankful that our Logan lives on and has helped 3 other families have the wonderful and healthy life that he had during his short time with us. Unfortunately, the heart and kidney recipients have never contacted us personally. It would mean the world to me if they did. When the time is right, I hope you find the strength to reach out to your donor family. As hard as it might be, I hope that it would give both families peace. I look forward to reading more posts about how well Meg is doing.

    Sincerely,
    Melissa
