4/17 10:00pm 'PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW'. We went from "Megan is too sick to receive a transplant" to "WE HAVE A HEART" in 12 hours. Only God can work a miracle like this. Thank You Jesus!!! Surgery around 2-4am. Pray that Megan will receive it well and continue to pray for the donor family.

  3. "Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good." Romans 8:26-28 (The Message)
May the donor family know this to be true as well. Praise God who is the Great Physician. May He operate on Megan tonight, working through human hands!

  5. Megan does not me whatsoever, but I got a prayer chain request on my facebook page a couple days ago. Her story immediately intrigued me for two reasons. One, I am about her age and my family is very close so I cannot imagine going through what you as a family have endured over the past few months. Two, I am an ICU nurse, so I love seeing the hand of God come into a patient's life and heal what modern medicine cannot!! Please tell her that I have been praying non-stop for her today and I too started crying when I just read this last post!! How awesome is our loving God??!!!! Will continue to check this blog and see how she progresses after surgery. I am so excited for her and your family and cannot imagine the emotions you are all feeling at this point, but know that prayers continue to go your way from this small town in Nebraska!!!
    God is so good,

  7. Megan probably does not remember us, but we were at church camp with her many years ago, and our family has been praying for her! This is such exciting news. We will keep praying for her that the surgery will go well!

  8. In God's sovereignty I just learned about Megan an hour or so ago. I'm honored to be able to join you in asking our kind God to bring great healing to Megan through the incredible life gift of a heart. I had heart surgery when I was 17, and while I have been mostly very healthy the 17 years since, I am waiting to hear back from a recent echo regarding a new murmur. All that to say, Megan's story is near to my heart ;) and I will be praying! Psalm 73:26 is one of my life verses, "My heart and flesh may fail, BUT GOD IS THE STRENGTH of my heart and my portion forever."

  10. THANK YOU JESUS FOR THIS PRAYER ANSWERED....you said where two or more touch and agree you're in the midst......and here YOU are and I praise your Holy Name for the miracle you're giving to Megan and her family.....blessings to you all.....I just kept saying to myself while praying for Megan last night.......Megan - YOU WILL be a walking, living, breathing testimony for your Saviour all the days of your life as your trails and journey have NOT been your own but shared and have affected thousands of souls.......God has been with you the entire time and he's not leaving you now.....I am expecting God to work another miracle in the operating room and have your surgery go seamlessly and by sunrise you'll have a wonderful renewed heart beating inside of you and on your way to recovery, healing and truly praising GOD joined by your grateful supportive family!!!! HALLEJUAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today is my birthday and I can't think of a nicer gift that someone will receive on my special day. I am also a grandmother of a donor. ( my 16 yr old grandson 4 years ago) So I also will pray for the donor family.

  12. Wayne, been following Megan's story, and have seen the hand of Jesus in this journey. I loved seeing the faith of your baby girl, calling upon Jesus, and the saints of God, to not give-up, but to pray hard! Victory healing for Megan is what we're praying for, and at the same time, expressing gratefullness for the gift of life from a donor, and their family. I'm reminded of The Father turning to His son at one time, and possibly saying, "Jesus, your life given for the sake of those who have no hope, and need life!". This is truly "Amazing Grace", and is most assuredly what I see going on in Megan's story; which is Christ's story for mankind!
Praying for your family while working the mid-night, in West Point, VA.
    Love your family for us!

  15. Prayers for Megan, your family, the doctors and the donor's family. God's loving arms are around us all -- and I pray Megan recovers quickly and continues to be a strong, living testimony to his power, his grace and the miracles that do occur. Love and hugs to you all. Lisa
